Downtown Parking Overview

On June 23, 2014 City Council approved an ordinance to better accommodate the City's evolving parking needs in downtown. These changes went into effect on August 4, 2014.

The map below shows the location of public parking in downtown Redwood City, including rates and hours. There are nearly 4,000 spaces in and around the Downtown core, including on-street parking.

Map key:

  • Yellow:  enforced Monday – Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Orange:  Monday – Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Green:  free parking available after 6:00 pm every evening and all day Saturday and Sunday
  • Blue (pay-on-exit gated facilities):  open every day until 1:00 am

Parking Validations

Patrons of the Century 20 Downtown Redwood City movie theatre receive four hours of free parking in the Marshall Street Garage and the Jefferson Garage with a validation from Century. Click here to learn more.
