Here is a great volunteer opportunity, to help share nature with others! The Bill and Jean Lane Education Center at Edgewood County Park and Natural Preserve was created as a portal for school children, nature seekers, and casual visitors to understand and explore Edgewood’s rare and interesting life forms, fascinating soils, and plant communities and wildlife habitats.
Volunteers are needed to interact with the public, share their enthusiasm for nature, and help make the center a lively, relevant experience that encourages visitors to gain a new awareness of ecological relationships, develop a sense of stewardship, and simply connect with Edgewood.
Each volunteer staffs the Ed Center for 3.5 hours at least once per month, or as much as once per week , throughout the year. We make it easy for you to set up your commitments ahead of time, so you can participate on dates that work with your personal schedule.
There are openings throughout the year on :
Saturday mornings, 9:15 am - 12:45 pm
Saturday afternoons, 12:45 pm - 4:15 pm
