A Victorian Afternoon

The San Mateo County History Museum will present A Victorian Afternoon on April 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. This family event focuses on society life during the era of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) of Great Britain and will include a tea party. Children will prepare for the tea party by decorating their own tea cups (which they can take home) and creating calling cards. Refreshments for the tea party will include English tea, tea sandwiches and dessert. Period costume is encouraged. Photographs will be taken of children and will then be framed by them. The craft activities for the Victorian Afternoon are free to the public with the price of admission to the Museum ($5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, free for children 5 and under). There will be a $2 fee for those attending the tea party.
