June 17, 2004 Special Meeting
NOTICE OF A
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
REDWOOD CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
DATE: Thursday, June 17, 2004
TIME: 6:30 p.m.
PLACE: Forester’s Hall
1204 Middlefield Road (at Maple)
Redwood City, California
SUBJECT: Downtown Precise Plan Workshop
The public is invited to assist in the creation of a Downtown
Precise Plan. A precise plan outlines the urban design guidelines
and principles for future development of a particular area
of the City, in this case the Downtown. Participants will
be asked to consider questions such as the following: What
kind of shops and restaurants do you want to see in the Downtown?
What should Downtown streets look and feel like? What kind
of attractions would motivate you to visit the Downtown more
often? What would make the Downtown a fun place to live?
This notice is being provided to satisfy the requirements
of the Brown Act. However, it is not anticipated that a majority
of Planning Commissioners will be in attendance at the Downtown
Precise Plan Workshop for a special meeting of the Planning
Commission to occur. Should a majority of Planning Commissioners
be present at the Downtown Precise Plan Workshop, no formal
Planning Commission action will be taken at that time.
PARKING: Free parking (after 6 p.m.) can be found curbside
along the blocks surrounding the Forester’s Hall, in
the public parking lots east and west of the library on Middlefield
Road, and in the “Main Street” lot behind City
Hall.
