6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL
Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council will be enacted by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category is limited to 15 minutes of comment to be allocated as determined by the Mayor. If you wish to speak to items on the Consent Calendar, please complete a speaker's card and give it to the Deputy City Clerk/ Council Assistant.
MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.

Amend the Agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City School District for the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program.

Approve by motion the execution of the first amendment to the agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City School District for the 2007-08 school year and any non-substantive amendments thereto.

Approve, by motion, the contract documents and award the contract for the Redwood City Recycled Water Project – Phase I – Redwood Shores Customer Site Retrofits – Bid Package 2 Project to the lowest responsible bidder, Trinet Construction Inc. of San Francisco, for their low bid of $372,095.00 and authorize the City Manager to increase the contact amount up to 10% if necessary.

Application for and acceptance of a $150,000 grant from the California State Coastal Conservancy (Conservancy) for the Redwood Shores Community Library Interpretive Center.

Recommendation:
Approve, by resolution, this application and acceptance for grant funds from the Conservancy, authorize the Library Director or his designee to execute in the name of the City of Redwood City all necessary contracts, agreements, amendments and payment requests hereto for the purposes of implementing the project specified in the grant application.
RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR $150,000 TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE COASTAL CONSERVANCY FOR THE REDWOOD SHORES COMMUNITY LIBRARY INTERPRETIVE CENTER, APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE LIBRARY DIRECTOR OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ALL NECESSARY CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS, AMENDMENTS AND PAYMENTS REQUESTS HERETO FOR THE PURPOSES OF IMPLEMENTING THE PROJECT SPECIFIED IN THE GRANT APPLICATION
