REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD MEETING
July 7, 2008

*ATTENTION SPEAKERS: If you wish to address the City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board please complete a speaker’s card (next to agendas) and give it to the Deputy City Clerk/Council Assistant (seated to the left of the Council). By submitting the speaker’s card, the Mayor/Chair will recognize you at the appropriate time. In order to afford all members of the public the opportunity to address the City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board, each speaker will be provided 3 minutes.

6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD

Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board will be enacted by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category is limited to 15 minutes of comment to be allocated as determined by the Mayor/Chair. If you wish to speak to items on the Consent Calendar, please complete a speaker's card and give it to the Deputy City Clerk/Council Assistant.

MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.

6.1 Section – Motions

A.

Subdivision Map and Subdivision Improvement Agreement – The Preserve at Redwood Shores.

Recommendation:
(1) Approve the Subdivision Map for the Preserve at Redwood Shores (the "Subdivision Map"), (2) approve the vacations as noted on the Subdivision Map, (3) accept the dedications as noted on the Subdivision Map, and (4) approve and authorize execution of the Subdivision Improvement Agreement for The Preserve at Redwood Shores.

B.

Professional Services Agreement with Green Environment, Inc. for the remediation of the Bradford Parcels – City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board.

Recommendation:
Approve, by motion, the Professional Services Agreement with Green Environment, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $125,692 to prepare the Removal Action Workplan and remediate the Bradford parcels.

C.

Authorize Agreement for Storm System Pump and Pump Motor Repair Services.

Recommendation:
Authorize by motion an agreement with Pump Repair Service Company of Daly City, California for the not-to-exceed amount of $142,850.00 for preventative maintenance services and repairs of pumps and motors for the Storm Utility System.

7. STAFF REPORT

A.

Certification of Charter Amendment Initiative Petition; Direction to Staff Regarding Election Date and Election Resolutions.

Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council, by motion, certify the results of the signature examination conducted by the City Clerk and the receipt issued on June 20, 2008. Staff further recommends that the City Council discuss and provide staff direction about the date for the election and how the City desires handling certain election matters. Staff would then bring back to City Council the necessary election resolutions for City Council approval.

B.

Possible Counter Initiatives to Charter Amendment – San Francisco Bay Front and City Park Land.
