Training and Development
We offer courses for employees and non-employees that enhance workplace
performance and skills. Courses cover such topics as management,
communication, computers, and Spanish. Classes range from two hours
on one day to several hours over the course of several weeks.
Our interactive classroom programs maintain small class sizes to
ensure learners receive personal attention to their needs. Our classes
are taught by some of the same faculty you’ll find at local
universities, by local consultants, and by qualified employees of
Redwood City. Employees have first priority for registration and
attend all programs for free. Non-employees pay a minimal fee for
attendance.
One of our exciting on-going development programs is our own Toastmasters Club. City Talk Toastmasters is an on-going personal development program
focused on enhancing one’s public speaking and leadership
skills. Membership is evenly divided between City employees and
non-employees, creating a true community partnership. We meet every
Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 in City Hall Council Chambers. Drop by
and check us out! Click here for more information about Toastmasters
