Archived News Release from 2003 For Immediate Release Join Former Mayors for a Look at Changes in Redwood City Over the Last 50 YearsRedwood City, CA - February 10, 2003 - A special event at the San Mateo County History Museum features the Mayor’s Forum on Redwood City History, with a panel of distinguished former mayors sharing their insight, interesting anecdotes, and analysis. Hear their perspectives on the monumental changes that have taken place in Redwood City over the last 50 years, and preview a new exhibit entitled, “135 Years of Redwood City History.” Former mayors William Royer, Robert Bury, Georgi LaBerge, and Ira Ruskin will comprise this special panel – it’s sure to offer fascinating and colorful insights into Redwood City’s past, and how it came into its own in the present. This event is free with museum admission. Join the discussion on Tuesday, February 11 at 7:00 pm. The event takes place in the historic Old Courthouse, in the San Mateo County History Museum located at 777 Hamilton Street in Redwood City.
