For Immediate ReleaseRedwood City Public Library to Hold Forum to Discuss Possible Intervention in Iraq
Redwood City, CA - February 13, 2003 - The Redwood City community is invited to attend an open, facilitated discussion of the possible United States involvement in Iraq.
This forum is being offered to provide an opportunity for members of the Redwood City community to discuss, interact, and share opinions with others on this sensitive issue. The discussion will take place on Saturday, February 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Community Room of the Main Library, located at 1044 Middlefield Road in Redwood City.
Mr. Warren Dale, one of the founders of the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, will facilitate the discussion. It is hoped that such a public forum will help people to better understand their feelings about the United State’s stance, and learn and understand others’ perspectives on this issue. Mr. Dale is also involved with the Center for Changing Systems and the Peninsula Institute of Mediation, and is the current chair of the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission.
