For Immediate ReleaseRedwood City Police Department Unveils New Website
Redwood City, CA - March 12, 2003 - The Redwood City Police Department (RCPD) recently completed construction of a brand new website, which is now up and running at www.redwoodcity.org/police.
The new site is more user-friendly, with new photos and colorful graphics, offering easy-to-find information and featuring a number of new and updated links, including: "Hot Topics," "Special Events," "Newsroom," "Community," "Recruiting," and "RCPD Most Wanted." The "Most Wanted" link provides information on and photos or sketches of individuals suspected in recent crimes. "Hot Topics" includes valuable educational and informational links, including domestic violence, talking with kids about drugs, the risk factors of weapons in the home, carjacking, and more.
By offering a new, up-to-date and easy to use website, the RCPD hopes to strengthen its connection with the community and bring a new level of information and communication to that relationship.
The RCPD is an organization of professionals who are dedicated to integrity, customer service, the rights of individuals, and the needs of a constantly changing society. The Department works in partnership with the community to protect life and property, improve our quality of life, reduce crime, and maintain a safe community. In the last five years the Department responded to an average of over 48,000 requests for service per year, or an average of over 130 calls per day, helping the citizens of Redwood City.
