Redwood City Public Library Offers a Walk
Down Memory Lane with Antique Autos
Redwood City, CA - February 20, 2004
- The Mid Peninsula Old Time Auto Club will be exhibiting
antique cars from the early 1900s through the 1960s in the
parking lot adjoining the Redwood City Public Library, on
the corner of Jefferson and Middlefield Roads, on Sunday,
March 7th from 1 to 5 pm. The community is invited to take
a close look at these lovingly restored cars – and,
it’s a great opportunity to get information from club
members about the cars and car restoring. The event is free
and promises a great time for kids, families, adults, and
seniors!
In addition to the exhibit, the library will mount a special
Antique Auto display on the mezzanine of the Main Library
featuring photographs from the Local History Room and books
from the library collection from March 1 to March 7. For many
years, the club has exhibited their cars in conjunction with
the Local History Room.
The Redwood City Public Library offers many free programs
for children, adults, and families, and helps our community
to “understand the past, prepare for the future, and
thrive in the present.” For more information about library
events and services you may pick up a calendar in any Redwood
City library, visit the library’s home page at www.redwoodcity.org/library,
