For over two years, City Talk Toastmasters has been meeting at City Hall and helping people improve their public speaking and leadership skills, in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Members of City Talk Toastmasters report improved communications skills, a greater ability to think quickly and clearly on their feet during impromptu speeches, and a superior skill in making quality presentations in front of large and small groups. City Talk Toastmasters is open to the public – here’s an opportunity to meet the current members, and experience a Toastmasters meeting.
Toastmasters International has a long reputation of helping people overcome their fear of public speaking, and of providing communications and leadership skills that are valuable in both work-related and social situations. Some of the skills that Toastmasters members learn include: conducting meetings; giving impromptu speeches; presenting prepared speeches; and constructive evaluation. And, Toastmasters is really fun!
