Redwood City Public Library Offers Expert Advice in Two Special Events:
- Advice from the Publishing Professionals
- Solving the Medicare Prescription Puzzle
Redwood City, CA - February 14 , 2006 - The Redwood City Public Library is offering two special events in February that feature advice from experts in two very diverse areas: how to get published, and how to understand the Medicare prescription drug benefits puzzle.
First: aspiring writers are invited to learn from the authors of Putting Your Passion Into Print: Get Your Book Published Successfully, at a very special Meet the Authors event on Thursday, February 16, 7:30 pm at the Downtown Library.
Beginning writers and experienced authors alike will gain a great deal of knowledge from the husband-and-wife literary team of Arielle Eckstut and David Henry Sterry. At this free event they’ll help demystify the publishing process and provide pointers for getting published.
Arielle Eckstut is a literary agent who runs the West Coast office of the Levine Greenberg Literary Agency. She is also the co-author of three books including Pride & Promiscuity: The Lost Sex Scenes of Jane Austen. David Henry Sterry is the author of three books including the San Francisco Chronicle bestseller, Chicken: Self-Portrait of a Young Man for Rent.
Second: many people remain confused and confounded by the new Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit changes. Diana Gray, Program Director for the Health Insurance and Advocacy Program (HICAP) will help unravel the mysteries of the Part D Medicare Drug Coverage in a free program, Choosing Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage, on Tuesday, February 21, at 10 am at the Downtown Library.
The Redwood City Public Library offers many free programs for children, adults, and families, and is the learning center of our community. For more information about library events and services you may access the library’s home page at www.redwoodcity.org/library or call 780-7026.
