As a celebration of the nativity, Christmas for Latino families often includes the symbolic "Posadas" taking place the nine days before Christmas. The Posada procession is a reenactment of Mary and Joseph going from inn to inn, seeking lodging for the night. This wonderful tradition is brought to life in Redwood City, combined with a multi-cultural festive flair and fun activities for the entire family.
The community is invited to share in this enriching and inspiring experience, and perhaps gain a new perception into the meaning of Christmas.
Schedule of events:
- 4 – 6 pm - Arts & Crafts
- 4:30 – 5:30 pm - Photos with Santa!
- 6 – 7 pm - Stories and Songs with Victor Hugo Santos
- 7 - 7:30 pm - Annual Candlelight Procession
- 7:30 – 8 pm - Piñatas and favors
This wonderful, fun variety of activities is sure to please every member of the family and bring them a cross-cultural holiday experience.
