Redwood City Public Library Sponsors Youth Talent Shows

Redwood City, CA - April 3 , 2008 – Here's a great opportunity for both the under-12 and 12-18 age groups to show off their hidden (or not-so-hidden!) talents! The Redwood City Public Library is sponsoring two big talent shows for youth. Kids and teens can audition and perform, and everyone else is invited to see the big shows!

Kids up to 11 years old can drop in to the Community Room of the Downtown Library for auditions:

  • Saturday, April 12, 3:30 - 5 pm
  • Sunday, April 13, 3:30 - 5 pm
  • Monday, April 14, 6 - 8 pm

Then, the big show is Wednesday, April 16th at 7 pm in the Community Room - everyone is invited!

Auditions for teens 12 to 18 years old are also in the Community Room of the Downtown Library:

  • Friday, April 18, 3 - 5pm
  • Sunday, April 20, 2 - 4pm
  • Monday, April 21, 3 - 6 pm

The Teen Talent Show then takes place on Thursday, April 24th at 5 pm in the Community Room.

All acts must audition. Acts can be solo, duo or group, but each act is limited to 3 minutes. Rehearsal time is available but optional. More information about the Teen Talent Show is available by contacting Sarah LaTorra at 780-7035 or slatorra@redwoodcity.org.
