Redwood City Police Activities League Presents“Give a PAL a Ride” Fundraising Motorcycle Ride
Redwood City, CA - April 24 , 2009 - The Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL) is proud to announce the 5th Annual Motorcycle Poker Run fundraiser - “Give a PAL a Ride” benefits youth in Redwood City by helping to fund PAL programs including the computer lab, karate and dance programs, after school tutoring, sports, boxing programs, and more. The motorcycle run will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009, starting at Peninsula Harley Davidson/Buell at 380 Convention Way in Redwood City. Check in and coffee at 8:30 am, registration begins at 9 am, and this scenic and fun police-escorted motorcycle ride starts 10:00 am.
This is a great opportunity to ride along with police motorcycle officers through the scenic coast of San Mateo County, ending back at Peninsula Harley Davidson for live music, a free BBQ lunch, and prizes. Up to 200 motorcyclists are expected to participate on this great 100-mile ride that raises funds for PAL.
Registration is $30 per motorcycle ($35 with a 2nd rider). With that entry fee all participants receive morning coffee, a special Ride T-shirt, a Ride pin, raffle ticket, and BBQ lunch – and the knowledge that they’ve done something great for our community by helping our local PAL.
More information and registration is available by contacting Office Dan Smith, PAL Executive Director, at 650-556-1650 extension 11 (you can also get the registration form online at www.redwoodcity.org/pal-ride.pdf). Redwood City and Redwood City PAL thank the many local sponsors that are contributing to make this annual event a great success.
