Redwood City Library Hosting PeninsulaWorks’ “T.O.O.L.S.” Program for Job Seekers
Redwood City, CA - November 19, 2010 - In this challenging economy, job seekers need to use all the tools available to secure the right position. To help people in this effort, PeninsulaWorks and the Redwood City Library are offering an exciting, productive workshop day for jobseekers. It’s PeninsulaWorks “T.O.O.L.S.” (Transitions • Options • Opportunities • Learning • Services) program at the Redwood City Downtown Library.
- Thursday, December 2nd, 11 am – 3 pm
Redwood City Downtown Library, 1044 Middlefield Road, Redwood City
Fireplace Room
11 am – 3 pm: T.O.O.L.S. volunteers offer one-on-one resume and interview advice throughout the day (in English and Spanish.)
Community Room
11 am – 12:30 pm: Workshop - Dress for Success with Cindy Antezana
Space is limited, so please come early to reserve your spot!
Throughout the day, job seekers will have the opportunity to develop the critical skills and information needed for their job search. Displaced workers will be able to work one-on-one with bilingual coaches and receive feedback, with an emphasis on resume preparation and interview skills development. The Dress for Success workshop will help participants learn about the impact their appearance can have on their interviews, and how to create the right professional appearance.
This FREE day of job-seeking expertise provides participants with great tips, valuable information, and new skills that can help to unlock their job search and open new doors of employment opportunity.
This workshop is presented by PeninsulaWorks and is co-sponsored by the Redwood City Public Library and the Friends of the Redwood City Library. PeninsulaWorks is the premier source for employment and training solutions in San Mateo County.
