Redwood City, CA - August 5, 2010 - The Redwood City Neighborhood Liaison program presents another great workshop: Five Steps to Resolving Conflict.
- Wednesday, August 18, 2010
7 – 9 pm
City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City
This interactive, instructive, and very useful workshop will introduce participants to a variety of communication skills and mediation tools as means to resolve conflict and engage others in more valuable discussions. Hosted by Redwood City’s Neighborhood Liaison program, the training is provided by the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center.
The “Five Steps to Resolving Conflict” workshop focuses on how to engage others in productive conversations, and offers communication and mediation skills as a means of resolving conflict. The evening includes fun and interactive exercises to enhance participants’ communication skills, equipping them with tools and skills to manage multiple forms of communication and interactions in a variety of settings including neighborhood, work, church, community, and more. These skills offer a great way of building community through communication.
If you are not yet an ‘official’ Neighborhood Liaison but have the desire to build community within your neighborhood, then feel free to arrive 15 minutes before the meeting at 6:45 pm, or stay a few minutes after the meeting to find out more about becoming a Neighborhood Liaison.
