Redwood City and Redwood City Police Department Invite Community to the 2010 National Night Out Celebration!
Redwood City, CA - July 27, 2010 - Redwood City is planning a great, fun National Night Out event – and the entire community is invited to join family, friends, and neighbors at 4 pm on August 3rd at Courthouse Square.
National Night Out is America's Night Out Against Crime - a unique nationwide crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). It’s designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Tuesday, August 3rd
4 – 8 pm (including our Dancing on the Square event!)
Courthouse Square in Downtown Redwood City
The entire family will enjoy experiencing these activities:

- Free Fingerprinting for Children
- Neighborhood Watch Materials

- Live Police K-9 Demonstrations at 4:30pm

- Photo Opportunities with Crime Fighting Dog McGruff (bring your camera)
- Police & Fire Vehicle Display
- Redwood City Library Activity
- Hot dogs, snacks and beverages and more for sale
- Arts and crafts fun by Target
- Other fun games and activities
- Live Music & Line Dancing Lessons from 6 - 8pm
