Inclusion Buddy Program

How Inclusion Works in Redwood City !

The City of Redwood City encourages people with disabilities to be included as an active part of the community. Our inclusion philosophy aims not only to physically include individuals, but also provide adaptations, accommodations, and support necessary to allow for social, mental, physical and emotional inclusion.

Individuals who are interested in enrolling in a recreation program should fill out a Registration Form and A Request for Accommodation Form . These forms can be obtained either online above or at any Redwood City recreation facility. After registration / payment is processed, the request for accommodations will be forwarded to our Inclusion Coordinator. Participants will be in direct contact with the Inclusion Coordinator, as well as in contact with the Recreation Staff and Instructors to assist with reasonable accommodations.

The ideal amount of time for notification to process and place accommodations is two weeks prior to the start date of the program . The sooner the Redwood City Inclusion Coordinator has the information about a request, the better chances are for a successful inclusion experience.

If you have questions regarding Redwood City 's inclusion philosophy,
