| Park Rules Update |
The Parks and Recreation Commission has completed an update of our Park Rules and will soon be recommending the changes to the City Council. The Commission is now working on options for how to best to enforce our Park Rules with the goal of having the new park rules and enforcement policy in place by March 2007. |
 |
Some of the highlights include expanding our successful picnic area reservation system to require permits for activities involving 25 or more people, use of any structures over 12 ft in any dimension, use of jumper structures as well as portable BBQ's, but only at designated sites in certain designated parks.
Other changes include restricting the length of a dog leash to no more than six feet long and limiting the number of dogs to no more than three dogs per person in any park or facility including our off leash dog park in Redwood Shores.
If you would like to share your input on our potential new park rules, please contact, Corinne Centeno, Director. |
