co-sponsored by The Redwood City Mother’s Club, Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services and Bay Area Parent Magazine
  • View displays and talk to representatives from many early care and education programs in the mid-Peninsula (Belmont to
    Palo Alto)
  • Attend one of two short presentations on "Choosing Quality Preschool & Child Care" by the Child Care Coordinating Council (5:30 or 6:30pm)
  • Pick up general information or ask questions about family child care homes, State licensing, in-home care, quality indicators, accreditation, and more.

Calling all Stars! Do you think you have what it takes to put on a play? If so, then join us for a fun imaginative week. You will spend the week rehearsing your character, making cool costumes, designing the set, and more! Campers should bring a sack lunch every day and wear running shoes.

The Time to Prepare for Disaster is NOW!
Wednesday, February 13th

Special Free Presentations for Seniors and Disabled Individuals. The Bay Area is due for a large natural disaster within the coming years, and there is no greater need for emergency planning than among special needs communities, including our seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Presentations will include:

How to set up an emergency support team and emergency plan in case of disaster
Completing a personal ability self-assessment list
Creating Carry-on-You, Home, Bedside, and Grab-and-Go Emergency Supplies
Providing forms and explanations to assist in this process.
A free emergency kit to anyone attending the presentation.

Senior Affairs Commission Meeting

The City of Redwood City Senior Affairs Commission is holding its February 14th meeting at the Fair Oaks Community Center, 2600 Middlefield Rd., Redwood City. The objectives of the Senior Affairs Commission are to encourage, foster, facilitate, establish, and maintain programs for the enhancement of all matters relating to the social, economic, and personal well being of the City's senior population. The public is invited to attend.
