 Parks & Recreation's New Director!

Congratulations to Chris Beth, the new Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director! Chris has served our community as a Recreation & Community Services Superintendent and Program Manager for 10 years, following eight years of recreation program coordination and management in other cities.  He holds a masters degree in public administration, and is currently serving as president of the California Park and Recreation Society. Chris is a seasoned manager, an effective leader in the field of parks and recreation, and he is extremely passionate about Redwood City.

Red Morton Community Center

This is a coed indoor drop-in soccer program with in-house rules designed to encourage playing good quality, fast paced, soccer.
If there are enough registrants, this will be converted to a small league.  Game length is up to 20 minutes long with no half time. Players will be placed on a team of 6-8 players, with 6 on the field at one time.  (Free substitution, no game stoppage required.)

Redwood City Teen Snowboard and Ski Trips are back! This year we are teaming up with Bay Area Ski Bus! Bay Area Ski Bus has served teens in the Bay Area for over 11 seasons. AARP Tax Preparation

Service is provided for the preparation and electronic filing of both Federal and State of California personal income tax returns within the scope of the AARP Tax-Aide program.  The service is free and you will receive one-on-one attention from AARP volunteers who are trained and certified annually in cooperation with the IRS.  Call our AARP Appointment hotline number (650) 489-6023 to schedule your appointment.

Home Improvement Loan Program
Thinking Green for 2010? The City of Redwood City is offering 3% interest loans up to $65,000 to eligible low income homeowners. Reduce your utility costs with energy efficiency windows, lighting, heaters and water heaters.

 Holiday Closures
All City offices and Parks, Recreation, and Community Services facilities will be closed on President's Day, Monday, February 15th. Some centers will be closed the entire weekend. Please check the individual community center web pages for closure info.
