| Park Improvement Updates |

|
Phase I of the synthetic turf installation project at Red Morton Park is well underway. The field conversion at Bechet/Griffin field is on schedule and we're looking at completion the first week of December. The new field (2 softball fields and one 120'x75' soccer field) will provide a safe, long lasting surface for year round sports. As part of the City's effort of water conservation, a total of 6 fields will be renovated from grass to synthetic turf. An incredible amount of water is saved with each turf conversion - over 1 million gallons per field each year. We know our city youth sports partners are very excited about being able to play on the highest quality of fields around. |
Phase II of the synthetic turf installation project will most likely take place beginning in December and the fields that will be next are McGarvey (baseball/soccer) and the 49er field (baseball/soccer) at Red Morton Park. Phase III will most likely begin in Spring of 2007 and will include Hawes, Marlin and Sandpiper fields.

| Fleishman Park is near completion! Redwood City has invested nearly $500,000 in renovating this outdated park to include a new water play feature, play equipment, climbing structure, picnic tables and more. New restrooms will also be installed (coming in December); and a grand re-opening date is being considered at this moment (so stay tuned). Fleishman Park is located at Locust St. and McEvoy St. |
