Housing Element Annual Progress Report for 2012
Redwood City supports and seeks to create housing opportunities to accommodate all income levels throughout the community, with a variety of housing types and sizes including below market and market‐rate housing. We are committed to creating opportunities for all members of our diverse community to have a home.
Each year the City prepares an annual progress
report for the Housing Element of the City's General Plan, for submittal to the California Department of
Housing and Community Development. The Housing Element Annual Progress Report includes information on Redwood City’s
progress in addressing the regional housing need allocation (RHNA), including the
number of housing units produced by income level, and the status of Housing Element
The City has accomplished a lot - and there is still much to be done. With the housing market gaining strength, we are seeing more opportunities to provide the variety of housing that is needed in our community, and our goal is to take advantage of those opportunities.
