Home Improvement Loan Program

The City offers low interest property improvement loans to homeowners and rental property owners. The loans are at 3% interest for 15 years.

The basic loan qualifications are as follows:

• Property must be located within the Redwood City limits.
• For homeowners, household income must not exceed the income limits shown below.
• For rental property owners, 51% of tenants (households) must be low income as shown in the income guidelines below.

Note - Single family is consider 1 to 4 units and multi-family is considered 5 or more residential units.

Loans are available on a first-come first-serve basis for replacement of roofs, heaters, windows, insulation, as well as many other health and safety items.
