Application for a side yard Variance which would allow for the retention of an accessory building that was constructed in a required side yard setback. Article 5 of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance requires a side yard setback equal to ten percent of the lot width for properties less than 60 feet in width. The subject property is therefore required to maintain a side yard setback of five and a half (5’6”) feet. The applicant is requesting a three foot setback for the length of the accessory structure (16’2”).
