Officer Herman Fleishman and Sergeant George Garrett gave their lives in the line of duty. Officer Fleishman was struck by a vehicle while he was standing by the side of the road arresting a suspect. Sergeant Garrett was shot during a bank robbery as he pushed an employee out of the line of fire, saving her life.
